Pricing

Free, and not yet priced.

Not free-as-in-trial. There is no card, no clock, and no number waiting behind a form — because no number has been decided, and inventing one for a landing page is how you end up defending it later.

Invited beta

Everything the product does, for five to ten people chosen by hand. No card, no expiry announced, no feature held back. You bring your own inference key and your own hardware.

Paid, eventually

There will be a paid tier one day and it does not exist now. If the beta works, the question becomes what it is worth to the people using it — and they will be asked rather than guessed at.

Nothing you do in the beta gets charged for retroactively.

Who pays for what

Worth being precise, because "free" usually hides a cost somewhere and here it mostly does not.

CostPaid byNotes
The app, the database, the syncyouruns on your hardware, so it is your electricity and nothing else
LLM inferenceyoubring your own key — you see the bill, you pick the model, you can stop any time

Why this is stable rather than generous

Marginal cost per user is about zero by construction — you run everything and you pay for your own inference. That is not a promotional posture that gets withdrawn when the bill arrives; there is no bill that scales with you. It is the genuine advantage of the self-hosted model and it is why the beta can be free without a countdown attached.

Bring your own key

Provider is a setting.

Point it at a router and reach most vendors with one key, or use a local model and reach none of them. Switch whenever you like — mid-project, mid-thread. Your notes are markdown on your disk and have no opinion about which model last read them.

Every tool that stores your notes for you is a bet on one vendor staying good and staying cheap. This one does not ask you to take that bet, because it never takes custody of the files.

No card. No clock.
